A Global Search feature has been added that allows users to find music on their local system or on the internet. The major update adds support for the Spotify and Grooveshark music streaming services. With Clementine, users can listen to their local music library or to online radio stations it can be used to transcode music into MP3, Ogg Vorbis, Ogg Speex, FLAC and AAC files. The cross-platform application is designed to be fast and easy-to-use, and was inspired by version 1.4 of Amarok (the current release is Amarok 2.5).
